Welcome to Disney's Aulani Resort & Spa, located on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Here you'll find a unique blend of Disney magic and Hawaiian culture, creating an immersive experience unlike any other. Upon arrival at the resort you'll notice how everything from the architecture to the detailed storytelling reflects and showcases that of the Hawaiian people. The use of local artists and craftsmanship is showcased throughout the resort. Aulani is located on a picturesque cove with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. The resort’s location offers access to pristine beaches, lagoons, and a range of outdoor activities. The surrounding natural beauty — from lush gardens to rugged coastlines — plays an important role in the resort's design and atmosphere.

There is all kinds of fun to be had at Disney's Aulani Resort and Spa- so much in fact that you may just never way to leave! Of course you'll want to enjoy the water when in Hawaii. The resort is known for its Water Play Areas, which include the "Waikolohe Valley," a water playground featuring a lazy river, water slides, and splash zones. In addition, there are adult exclusive spaces like the Wailana Pool and 'Alohi Point for guests 18 and over if you need some time to unwind. The pools are designed to mimic the natural surroundings of Hawaii, making them fun for families while integrating seamlessly into the resort's scenic environment.
There’s also the Rainbow Reef, a private snorkel lagoon where guests can see tropical fish up close. In addition to traditional snorkeling, twice per week the resort on Mondays and Thursdays which is really fun to try. These activities are both offered at an extra charge.
Ohana
While staying at Disney's Aulani Resort you'll be able to spend lots of quality time with your Ohana (family) throughout your stay with the many activities that they offer. There are so many options from ear making to ukulele lessons, animation classes, painting, stargazing, fire-pit storytelling, scavenger hunts pin trading and more. Some are included with your stay and some at an extra charge. Be sure to reserve a spot of these activities in advance using the Aulani app prior to your visit.
Looking for some more fun in the sun? Makiki Joe's near the beach lagoon area offers nearly everything you need to relax or play. It's the perfect place to try a paddle board, snorkel or boogie board.
Tip: Reservations are required for Aunty's Beach house-the kids club at the resort for ages 4-12. Here they offer themed programming you can sign up for at an additional charge as well as complimentary sessions. This is a great place for the kids to go have some while while you indulge in a massage or other spa treatment at Laniwai.
Keiki
Advice from a little keiki (child) - the first thing you should do when you get to the resort is stop at Pāpālua for some Mickey shaped shave ice. You won't regret it. Also, be sure to meet some of your favorite Disney friends around the resort. Here you'll find favorites like Moana, Stitch and some unique characters like Duffy. You can also book a character breakfast at Makahiki which is so much fun. They serve Mickey waffles there so it's a must!
Huaka'i
Journey off Aulani's property to visit some of the Island's best spots. I highly recommend a visit to Pearl Harbor while on the island of Oahu. Here you can learn more about the historic attack on Pearl Harbor and see the USS Arizona Memorial. I also recommend a trek to the North Shore for some great snorkeling, biking, paddle boarding and hiking at Waimea falls. You might even be able to grab a surfboard and catch a wave depending on the season you visit.
Want to explore more of Hawaii? Hop on a plane for an easy ride over to one of the other islands. Kauai, Maui, the Big Island- each one has something unique to offer. I can help you decide which island might be the best fit for your family depending on what activities you'd like to do. The possibilities are endless!

A Perfect Pre Cruise Stay
- Sydney -
When embarking on an Australian cruise - taking the time to extend your stay and visit the beautiful Sydney is a must! Whether adding time before, or after your cruise - Sydney is the perfect location to relax and enjoy a different east coast vibe!
Where to stay?
Our favorite place to stay is along George Street and near the Harbor! This gives you access to shopping and restaurants and is situated right next to the main tram lines, as well as within walking distance of Sydney's historical sights. From the luxury of The Four Seasons to the apartment style of A by Adina, there are so many different hotels to fit your family!
What To Do
As you plan your trip "Down Under" - I recommend staying in Sydney for 3 nights - at least 2 full days. I have the perfect three day itinerary to get you started!
DAY 1: ARRIVAL
Many flights have travelers arriving to Sydney in the morning. After a quick transfer from the airport to the city, you can check bags with your hotel Concierge and take time to wander through the hotel neighborhood and grab a bite to eat!
TIP: While most lunch locations do not open until noon during the week, there is a large food court near Georges and Hunter Street that opens earlier during weekdays!
To help acclimate to the time change, I highly recommend having an activity scheduled the afternoon of your arrival day. If you're feeling adventurous, you can sign up with BridgeClimb Sydney!! You will make your way towards the Sydney Harbor Bridge to meet a group and climb one of the world's most iconic structures. Choosing a 2:00pm time was perfect - the city views from the top are spectacular and during the descent, the setting sun created the perfect end to the day!
Day 2: Sydney City Tour
We love to start our stays with a half day city tour to help get a "lay of the land". Choosing an afternoon start time, allows you some time to sleep in a bit and have a leisurely breakfast. Whether you choose a pre-arranged tour, or want to discover the city on your own, be sure to include a few "must sees" on your journey!
If you're visiting Mid May - Mid June, you'll be able to participate in Sydney's VIVID festival with light projections and drone shows!
Day 3: Bondi Beach Day Trip
Time to get up early and hit the beach; after a short 30 minute ride you'll be heading just outside Sydney to Bondi Beach! This is one of the best beaches around and the mild waves here are perfect for a first time surfer!
This is a great time to sign up for a surf lesson - instructors will help you every step of the way! If you're unsure about surfing, you can take an ocean walk, sign up for a Day Pass at the Bondi Beach Club, or learn about the history of Bondi's Life Saving Club.
Where To Eat
As you're looking for the best places for your family to eat, there are so many choices from street food at the markets to Signature dining along the Harbor!
Signature Dining
If you're looking for an option for signature dining, Aria can be a fun choice. With views of Sydney Harbor, there are options for four or seven course meals, paired with Australia's best wines.
Casual Dining
Sydney has so many options for casual dining during your stay! If you're looking for a quick, but delicious bite to eat on the Harbor there are so many restaurants in Squire's Landing; The Harbour Front Seafood Restaurant was a favorite! If you're looking to try amazing Vietnamese with a fun vibe -- I highly recommend Mr. G's!!!
If you're considering a trip, "Down Under" - be sure to plan some time in Sydney! Whether it is a pre-cruise stay, or the beginning of a longer trip - Sydney is worth it!
